Indian Summer Florals began with a quiet calling—a tug to create something beautiful, even in an unexpected season. What started as a small idea alongside a full-time job became a way to slow down, to notice, and to share something meaningful with others.
Our name comes from the late-season warmth known as an Indian summer—a time when beauty lingers a little longer and growth still surprises us. It reminds us that things don’t have to be perfect or perfectly timed to be full of purpose. It’s a picture of grace, and a reminder that God often brings color, warmth, and new life exactly when we least expect it.
At the core of this studio is a deep belief that God is the giver of beauty, and that He’s present in the small and sacred details of our lives. We take inspiration from Matthew 6, where Jesus reminds us how lovingly God clothes the flowers of the field. If He cares that much for something so delicate and fleeting, how much more must He care for each of us?
That’s what shapes the work we do.
Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin. . .will He not much more clothe you?
MATTHEW 6:28,30Indian Summer Florals is rooted in a love for natural, seasonal design. We lean into what’s fresh, textural, and a little bit wild. Our work is garden-inspired and movement-filled—like something just gathered from the field or grown into place. We specialize in intimate events, local bouquets, pop-ups, floral arranging classes, and DIY wedding support.
But more than anything, we’re here to make flowers feel accessible, personal, and full of joy.
Because flowers aren’t just for weddings or grand moments. They’re for Tuesday mornings, for hospital rooms, for quiet celebrations and everyday tables.
That’s the heart behind our “Flowers for Everyday” mission—because every day holds the potential for grace, joy, and beauty, even in unexpected seasons.
Meet Katey
Hello! I’m Katey, the hands and heart behind Indian Summer Florals. Flowers have always been my favorite way to celebrate, comfort, and connect, and I believe they’re meant for everyday moments as much as the big milestones.
When I’m not arranging with blooms, you’ll probably find me playing a game of mahjong with friends, getting my hands messy in a pottery studio, or exploring hidden gems around DFW. Each of these little joys inspires the way I design - creative, thoughtful, and full of life.
Whether I’m building a wedding bouquet, wrapping flowers for the market, or guiding you through a workshop, my hope is that you feel joy and ease in the process and a little extra beauty in your day.
